Marshall Moya Design Team Reaches Out to the Community
MMD partnered with Food & Friends to connect with the terminally ill in the District of Columbia last week. After receiving instructions and packages of pre-made food from Food & Friends, the MMD team drove three cars to deliver meals to a total of 40 residences with terminally ill patients. It is important to the MMD team to give back to the community, and to offer support to those in need in the District.
According to their mission statement, Food & Friends “foster a community caring for men, women, and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses by preparing and delivering specialized meals and groceries in conjunction with nutrition counseling.”
After leaving a donation to the organization, MMD regrouped to discuss future volunteering efforts with organizations that the team are passionate about. Look for more news of volunteering in our blog. Suggest one of your favorite organizations and join us in giving back!
