Marshall Moya Design is the lead design architect for this mixed-use project along Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Southeast, Washington, D.C. Offering both market-rate and affordable residential options, the design calls for a total of 130 units, consisting of apartments and townhomes. The project also includes retail and public amenities. The historic Anacostia playhouse would be razed and rebuilt as part of the new development. The apartments will be a mix of studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, with plans to include live-work spaces for artists. The project will be one of the first major residential developments located in historic Anacostia. The scope of work includes urban planning, architectural design concept, programming, layout for the residential component and building envelope. The project client is D.C. based Four Points Development.
