Senior Project Architect
Pat Grimmick is a Senior Project Architect at Marshall Moya Design. His comprehensive experience in the construction industry includes working knowledge of building construction techniques and systems, as well as design programs. He also possesses extensive project management experience, including code analysis, construction documents development and contract administration. In his role, he leads and coordinates team efforts from conceptual design through construction documents and manages client relationships through project duration. In the course of a career that has spanned two decades, Pat has worked with clients in the healthcare, educational, institutional and government sectors on projects that have included government buildings (including state and federally-recognized historic properties), office buildings, retirement/assisted care facilities, embassies, schools and mixed-use developments. Significant projects have included work with the United States Naval Academy, federal court house facilities, the U.S. Department of State, Social Security Administration, Kaiser Permanente, The Army Distaff Foundation, Intelligence Community Agencies, Dulles Station, Pillsbury “A” Mill Redevelopment, The Spectrum, and Prince George’s County Public Schools. Notable embassy work has included projects in Yaounde, Cameroon, Prague, Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Taipei, Taiwan and the Embassy of the Ivory Coast in Washington, D.C. Patrick’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Architects, Construction Specifications Institute, Applied Technology Council, and the National Council of Architectural Accrediting Boards. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University and his Master of Architecture degree from The Catholic University.
