Design Strategist & Project Manager
Zarela Mosquera is a Design Strategist and Project Manager at Marshall Moya Design. In this role, she determines the strategic direction of the firm’s projects and connects design efforts to clients’ business goals. Using technology, she discovers solutions to enrich design processes, improve living conditions and maximize community engagement. She also has a special interest in sustainable energy and enhancing communities.
Zarela has worked with a variety of organizations, including museums, national parks, zoological parks, institutions, technology start-ups and non-profit organizations where she contributed to exhibit and interaction designs. Additionally, Zarela previously managed her own design studio and studied Industrial Design at the Rhode Island School of Design. She is skilled in fabrication methods ranging from traditional techniques to more modern systems, such as laser cutting, CNC milling and 3D printing. In her spare time, she creates public art in the form of murals and sculptures.
