Zarela is a Design Strategist and Project Manager at Marshall Moya Design. In this role, she determines the strategic direction of client projects and connects design assets to clients’ business and marketing goals. Using graphic design, illustration and technology, she discovers solutions to communications challenges in order to maximize audience engagement.
Zarela has worked with a variety of organizations, including nonprofit organizations, associations, developers, professional services firms, museums, national parks, zoological parks, institutions, and technology start-ups. She has contributed to corporate identity, marketing campaigns, environmental design, exhibit and interactive design projects. She is also skilled in fabrication methods ranging from traditional techniques to more modern systems, such as laser cutting, CNC milling and 3D printing.
As a Project Manager, she works closely with clients to oversee projects from initial consultation through creative conceptual development, production and completion, while managing client feedback, budgets and timelines to ensure a seamless project outcome.
Zarela also has a special interest in enhancing communities through sustainable energy and works with the architectural team on a variety of assignments that encompass these initiatives.
Prior to joining Marshall Moya Design, Zarela managed her own design studio. She holds a degree in Industrial Design from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. In her spare time, she creates public art in the form of murals and sculptures.
